Celtic pre-season trip to Dublin confirmed with Wolves friendly

Celtic will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in a friendly match this month.

It has been confirmed that Brendan Rodgers' side will face Wolves in a pre-season game in Ireland in a little over two weeks.

The game will be played at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, July 29.

The match will kick off at 2pm, as the Scottish champions go up against the Premier League side.

The game has been confirmed via Ticketmaster, with briefs now on sale for fans to purchase.

The match will take place one week prior to the start of the Premiership season.

Celtic will commence the domestic campaign on flag day with a home match against Ross County.

Rodgers and his squad are currently enjoying some warm weather training in Portugal before setting their sights on a tour of Japan, which was pre-planned when Ange Postecoglou was still at the club.

Meanwhile, Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard has joined English Championship side Plymouth Argyle on a three-year deal.

The Northern Irishman, who played seven times competitively for the Hoops, was at the club for nine years.

He recently enjoyed a successful spell on loan at HJK Helsinki in Finland, where he lifted the title and played in the Europa League.

Hazard's most memorable Celtic moment came in the 2020 Scottish Cup final, where he saved two penalties as the club lifted the Quadruple Treble.
