Sheffield Wednesday could be on Celtic 's agenda when they head to Wales for pre-season as the Hoops get set to wrestle the Premiership title from Rangers.
The Hoops recently announced plans to head to the south west and will face Charlton and Bristol City in friendlies.
They are on the lookout for more opponents though as they decide to take a trip close to home amid Covid-19 restrictions.
A report from the Sheffield Star claims Wednesday also have plans to head to Wales - and they say a clash with Celtic could be on the agenda.
Darren Moore's team are yet to finalise their pre-season plans but the lure of testing his charges against the Hoops will certainly appeal.
The two clubs have a working relationship after the transfer of Liam Shaw was finalised earlier this year.
And the striker could feature against his former team if the two do meet.
No details have yet been announced but the game will likely fall in late June or early July if it does go ahead.
The news comes after it was reported in Danish media that Rangers are being lined up by SønderjyskE as a participant in a Portuguese training camp.
Portugal has been named on the UK Government's green list for international travel due to vaccine progress and low case numbers.
It is also expected that the Covid restrictions in the UK will have eased by the time players return for pre-season in a few weeks' time.
