Celtic potential Europa League opponents revealed as Fenerbahce and AZ Alkmaar among sides lying in wait

The Champions League dream may be over for another year but the European adventure continues for Celtic.

The Hoops dropped out of Europe's premier club competition at the hands of Midtjylland last week but the focus now shifts to Czech side Jablonec, who stand between them and a Europa League playoff.

It won't be easy for Ange Postecoglou's team but it's a tie they simply have to win if they want to recover from their dire start to the season.

And if they can negotiate their way past the Czechs, they have a rough idea of who they will be taking on for a place in the Europa League proper.

The winner of Celtic v Jablonec will be in pot four for the playoff draw and as such they will play one of the six teams in pot one.

It means they could face Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce, whose squad ranges from Mesut Ozil to Dundee alumni Steven Caulker.

They could also face Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, while Royal Antwerp - the current employers of Celtic target Aurelio Buta - are among their potential foes.

Celtic potential opponents : Fenerbahce, AZ Alkmaar, Zorya Luhansk, Royal Antwerp, Sturm Graz, Randers
