Celtic player ratings: Klimala, Ntcham dreadful in Rangers defeat

Here are Celtic's player ratings after their 2-0 defeat to Rangers.

Barkas

Huge error for the opening goal, should have easily dealt with Connor Goldson's header. Didn't have much chance with the second, but doesn't com mand his area effectively. Looks a huge downgrade from Fraser Foster. 4

Welsh

Composed performance considering it was his second game for the Hoops and he was thrown in at the deep end at the eleventh hour. 6

Ajer

Sloppy distribution in the first half and struggled to deal with Ryan Kent dropping deep. Fouled the winger for the free kick that led to the opener. Then again the Norwegian stopped it from being a blowout with two key last ditch blocks. 6

Duffy

Labored on the ball and didn't really get up to the speed of the game. Alfredo Morelos successfully got under his skin. Poor on the ball too. 5

Frimpong

Could be his worst performance in a Hoops shirt as he offered nothing going forward and was caught out at the back on a few occasions. 5

Laxalt

It was a decent debut for the left-back, but nothing spectacular. Bright in the first half and was at least looking for the ball unlike most of his team-mates, just didn't get much help from them. 6

McGregor

Some nice touches early on, but was outplayed by Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield. Wasn't helped by Olivier Ntcham or Scott Brown, however. 5

Brown

Barely laid a glove on the Rangers midfield and didn't really offer anything else. 4

Ntcham

Absolutely lost this season. Not the Olivier Ntcham Celtic fans are accustom to seeing. Taken off in the second half and rightly so. 4

Elyounoussi

Celtics' best player in the first half and was unlucky to be the one who was taken off. Missed a glorious chance, however, as he blazed over a chance at 1-0. 6

Klimala

A poor day at the office. Couldn't string a pass together and rightly hooked early in the second half. 3

Subs:

Ajeti

Difficult for the striker to make a mark after his recent hamstring issues and didn't make much of an impact. 4

Rogic

Didn't offer much when he came on late in the second half. 3

Griffiths

Had Celtic's best chance of the second half as he rounded Allan McGregor, but his touch was too heavy. Wasn't provided with much service. 5

Turnbull

On late, but the game was all but over. 3

Taylor

Strange sub as the Hoops looked to get back in the game. 3
