Celtic player ratings: Edouard first half masterclass and Christie wonder strike seals Scottish Cup final berth

Here are Celtic's player ratings after they reached the Scottish Cup Final with a 2-0 win over Aberdeen.

Celtic player ratings:

Bain

Continued right where he left off against Lille and dealt with everything that came his way. 7

Frimpong

A constant source of danger down the right hand side along with Christie, getting to the by-line on a number of occasions. Much better defensively than he was a week ago at Pittodrie. 8

Duffy

The Irishman's performances are improving after a nightmare start to his Parkhead career, but still doesn't look completely comfortable, when players try to exploit his lack of speed. Kept Cosgrove relatively quiet and made some vital clearances in the second half however. 6

Bitton

The defender is as consistent as they come with another assured display at the back. The physicality of Aberdeen was a handful, but him and Duffy can be happy with their day's work. 7

Laxalt

What a start to his time at Celtic. Oozes quality and always seems to make the right decision. Started to pop up everywhere in the first half and Aberdeen failed to keep track of him. 8

Brown

He had a proper midfield battle with Lewis Ferguson this afternoon and made the rising star work for everything he got. Protected the back four well. 7

McGregor

Seems far more comfortable with Brown alongside him and Ntcham out of the team. Means he can drop deeper and really made an impact from there in the first half. 7

Rogic

The Aussie was a joy to watch at times in the first half. Seems to just glide around the pitch. Hung a lovely ball at the back post for Moi to make it 2-0. 7

(2020 SNS Group)

Christie

What a strike from the midfielder as he opened the scoring. Lewis could do nothing as he cut inside and watch his effort sail into the top corner. Great peformance, but tired towards the end as he was subbed off. 8

Elyounoussi

The winger had the easiest of tap-ins to make it 2-0 as he continues his scoring streak from midweek. Popped up in nice areas in the first half, but disappeared a little after the break. 7

Edouard

He was never going to be fit enough to play the full 90 minutes, but he made the difference in the first half. His movement and hold up play was on another level as Aberdeen failed to get close to him. 8

Subs.

Griffiths

On for the last 20 minutes but never really got into the game. 4

Ajeti

Some good hold up play from the Swiss striker as Celtic saw out the victory. 5

Elhamed

Came on as Celtic changed to a back three and didn't put a foot wrong. 5

Ntcham

On for the last ten minutes or so as the Hoops switched to a 3-5-2. 4
