Celtic player ratings as Odsonne Edouard shows class against Rangers once again

Celtic rallied after a rousing Rangers fightback to defeat their rivals and close in on a eighth consecutive Premiership title.

Goals from Odsonne Edouard and a late James Forrest strike were the difference between the sides as Neil Lennon 's men opened up a 13-point gap at the top.

Alfredo Morelos was sent off for the visitors in the first half after his moment of madness when he lashed out at Scott Brown.

Ryan Kent netted a shock equaliser and Celtic had to battle with 10-men as well after Dedryck Boyata hobbled off with a hamstring injury.

But the Hoops are battle tested and rallied to earn the vital win with several of the Hoops stars earning big marks from our man Craig Swan.

Scott Bain

Composed with the ball at his feet and spread confidence through his backline. No chance with goal and got away with late spill. 6

Dedryck Boyata

Kristoffer Ajer

Norwegian suffered a facial cut in the early stages, but was strong and produced a goal-saving challenge in injury-time to deny Worrall. 7

Jonny Hayes

Combined well with Tierney down the left flank during the first-half before being replaced at the interval by Sinclair. Set-piece delivery not great. 4

Odsonne Edouard

Right on it from his first touch and his run and finish to score the first goal was sensational. Great set-up play for Forrest winner. 8

Scott Sinclair

Missed a glorious opportunity to double his team’s lead after coming on as sub and didn’t track Tavernier as Rangers levelled. 2

Tom Rogic

Aussie was rusty having been out since Boxing Day and barely touched it during his cameo. 2

Slotted into right-back during the late chaos. 1
