Celtic Park protest: St Mirren fans stage coronavirus-themed ticket price display

St Mirren fans staged a coronavirus-themed ticket price protest during this afternoon's match with Celtic.

A group of supporters dressed up in hazmat suits and wore masks as they expressed their anger at the cost of away tickets. Around nine or ten fans were involved in total.

A banner which read "Warning: Con-£30" was unveiled.

As reported by the Daily Record, this banner was quickly removed before another reading "twenty's plenty, greedy hands empty stands" was brought out.

The fans appear to have got their message across, with images and videos of the display being shared widely on social media.

The 'twenty's plenty' campaign has previously been backed by Celtic fans too, with supporters unveiling banners asking for "lower prices for all fans".

At time of writing, Celtic led the match 2-0 thanks to a first-half double from Leigh Griffiths.
