Celtic Park launches new vegan food kiosk Hoops & Roots

Celtic Park is quite literally going green with the launch of their brand new vegan food kiosk.

Hoops & Roots is opening at Parkhead tomorrow in time for the Kilmarnock game with an exclusively plant-based menu.

Fans will be able to swap their halftime pie and bovril for a range of vegan treats such as chilli non-carne, chickpea and butternut squash curry or a vegan sausage roll.

The club have named the new stall a 'cistin', which is Irish Gaelic for a cookhouse or a kitchen.

It can be found at section 137 in the Jock Stein Stand lower bowl.

The move has been largely welcomed by fans, with a few followers poking fun at the club and the vegan community with some light-hearted jokes.
