In-demand Dan Petrescu is looking to return to management in Romania despite links with a summer switch to Celtic.
Reports had claimed Petrescu had thrown their hats into the ring to be appointed as Neil Lennon's replacement after leaving Kayserispor for unspecified personal reasons.
The former Chelsea star masterminded CFR Cluj's win in the Champions League qualifiers last season and has previously stated he is taking a break from management until the summer after leaving Turkey.
However, it doesn't appear he will be destined for the Premiership in his next move after opening up on his dream return to Romanian title picture.
Having lifted the title in his homeland with Cluj and Unirea Urziceni, he told ProSport that he wants to lift the Liga 1 title with a record-breaking third club.
Petrescu said: "I have to satisfy my "hunger" somehow. I want to go back to coaching, but I want to fight at the top, I don't want to be demoted.
"I would very much like to be the only coach to win the championship [Liga 1] with three different teams. . I like the teams that win."
Interim boss John Kennedy remains the bookmakers favourite to become the next permanent boss.
However, the likes of Eddie Howe, Roy Keane and Enzo Maresca have been touted for the hot seat.
