The pressure is on at Celtic as they look to step up their new manager search.
It's a major blow for the club as talks with Eddie Howe broke down with his arrival seemingly imminent.
The clock is ticking with the Parkhead chiefs reportedly in advanced talks with the next man at the helm.
Australian Ange Postecoglou is the current favourite with Dermot Desmond and Dominic McKay looking to make a quick appointment with time against them ahead of the Champions League qualifiers.
If the second choice is in place at the soonest opportunity he will have just 50 days to gear up for his first competitive game as manager.
So what are the key dates for the next man in the Celtic Park hot seat? Record Sport takes a look.
The appointment
While nothing is set in stone following the past few days, the soonest Celtic will realistically be able to announce their next boss is June 1 as the three month search looks set to carry on into the summer months.
Fans will be eagerly anticipating news on Tuesday morning when the London Stock Market reopens after the May bank holiday.
Euro 2020 kicks off

The Celtic squad have broken up for the summer, so Neil Lennon's successor won't get the chance to meet some of his big names until they return from the major tournament.
Big decisions need to be made by the next man in charge from recruitment, to signing star men on new deals or selling players on, to naming a new captain.
The likes of Ryan Christie, Callum McGregor and David Turnbull won't meet their new boss until they return from Scotland duty. The finals starts on June 11 and will run until July 11, though they could be back earlier depending on how far Scotland go in the tournament.
Champions League draw
The draw takes place from Nyon, Switzerland on June 16. These qualifiers are notoriously treacherous, as Celtic have discovered over the past three seasons.
They have faltered against AEK, Cluj and most recently Ferencvaros in successive doomed bids to reach the lucrative group stage.
The Parkhead side are a seeded team due to Scotland's current high coefficient but face another tricky tie against one of Midtjylland, Galatasaray and Rapid Vienna.
Pre-season starts

Earlier this week, when the arrival of Eddie Howe was seemingly imminent, Celtic revealed their pre-season schedule. The squad will travel south of the border to Wales on July 5 before the first game of their pre-season kicks off against Sheffield Wednesday on July 7.
They will also face Charlton and Bristol City in friendlies. It will give the new boss his first chance to see the players in action ahead of the Champions League qualifiers.
Champions League qualifiers
Celtic will start in the second qualifying round and their potential list of opponents has just about taken shape, with the traditional two-legged format returning following its pandemic-enforced suspension in 2020/21.
The first leg will take place on either July 20 or July 21, with the second leg a week later.
