Duffy nears Celtic switch

Shane Duffy is reportedly closing on a season-long loan to Celtic .

The Irishman is set to arrive in Glasgow this week to finalise his switch to the Premiership champions.

And STV claim talks between the Hoops and Brighton are 'progressing well' and he should be announced as Celtic's new signing unless any unforeseen complications arise.

Robertson signs new deal

Scott Robertson has committed his future at Parkhead until 2023.

The youngster penned a new deal on Monday morning and is looking to break into the first team in the next few years.

He said: "I’m happy. Happy to get the chance to try and break into the first-team over the next few years and, hopefully, show the fans what I’m about.

"This means over the next few years I can completely focus on playing football.

“It means a lot. It’s good to know that people around the club like what they’re seeing and, hopefully, I can keep impressing them.

“Every day I need to make sure I’m at it and show the coaching staff what I can do."

Southampton to 'pounce' for Ntcham

Southampton are set to step up their interest in Olivier Ntcham after the exit of Mario Lemina.

Saints had scouted the French midfielder as a replacement for Emile Hojbjerg who signed for Spurs this summer.

And with Lemina joining Fulham, the Daily Record report the Premier League side are ready to make their move for Ntcham, who has been widely linked with an exit from Celtic.
