Celtic 'make offer' for Roma keeper Robin Olsen

Celtic are reported to have made an offer for Robin Olsen.

The Roma keeper, who has 36 caps for Sweden, spent last season on loan at Cagliari.

Neil Lennon has already brought in Vasilis Barkas from AEK Athens as his first choice between the sticks, following the departures of Fraser Forster and Craig Gordon.

He also has Scott Bain as an option in that position.

Italian Sky Sport journalist Mario Giunta tweeted: "Rome, Celtic insists on Olsen. Currently low offer."

Olsen joined Roma for around £10.8m in July 2018 as a replacement for Alisson, who had left for Liverpool.

The 30-year-old was Sweden's first-choice keeper as they reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

West Ham striker Albian Ajeti, meanwhile, is expected to seal his move to Celtic today.

The Swiss international completed his medical in Glasgow on Wednesday, and should be part of Lennon's squad when they return to Premiership action.

They were due to be playing St Mirren on Wednesday night and Aberdeen on Saturday, but both games were postponed due to Boli Bolingoli's breach of quarantine rules.
