Residents at Burngrange Nursing Home have been left gutted after cruel crooks forced their way in in some time between 10pm on Thursday and 7am on Friday.

A four figure sum of cash and other personal items were also stolen from a safe within an office.

Police want anyone who has information on the break-in at the home, which is located on Burngrange Park, West Calder, to come forward.

Detective constable Ross Collett of Livingston CID said: "This incident has understandable affected the residents of the nursing home and staff, I am appealing to anyone who has information or who may have seen anything in the area at the time to contact police."

Anyone with information are asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0499 of 7 February 2020, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
