Robertson, who came through Celtic’s youth system before being released as a teenager, has often been mentioned in connection with a return to Parkhead later in his career.

Tottenham had explored a move in January, but Robertson opted to remain on Merseyside until the end of the campaign.
Signed from Hull City for £8million in 2017 by Jurgen Klopp, he went on to make 378 appearances for Liverpool, winning two Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues and a host of domestic honours.
Robertson’s immediate focus will be on international duty, with the 92-cap captain set to lead Scotland into their first World Cup finals since 1998 next month.
