Celtic lineup v AZ Alkmaar predicted as Odsonne Edouard form return gives Ange Postecoglou selection headache

It's the kind of selection headache every manager wants, too many players in top form.

And that's what Ange Postecoglou has ahead of him when he's picking Celtic's team to face AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday night in their Europa League playoff.

Odsonne Edouard returned to the starting lineup on Sunday and it saw Kyogo Furuhashi play just off him and the pair were in frightening form as they linked up in the first half.

And it means Postecoglou has to make the decision on whether he goes for the same again on Wednesday night or if he keeps things a bit more solid against a decent Eredivisie side.

There is a good chance the former Australia boss will go for both though, given he very rarely has an issue with being all out attack and will be backing his side to play well.

It'll be Joe Hart who starts in goals again and the former Man City goalkeeper has impressed so far in his time at the club.

Two big saves against Jablonec saw a noise that you would expect to hear when scoring goals and that says it all about the last couple of keepers the Hoops have had.

In defence, Anthony Ralston will continue at right back with Josip Juranovic yet to sign, and Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh will be at centre back with Greg Taylor on the left.

Callum McGregor will play in central midfield and will likely be partnered with David Turnbull, although they could go a bit more solid if they introduce Ismaila Soro.

James McCarthy is available after making his debut but a starting spot might come just too soon for him.

James Forrest and Tom Rogic could also start as part of the attacking shape with Kyogo and Edouard.

Predicted team: Hart, Ralston, Welsh, Starfelt, Taylor, McGregor, Turnbull, Forrest, Rogic, Kyogo, Edouard
