Celtic line-up vs Rangers revealed as Neil Lennon makes huge calls on Edouard, Laxalt and Welsh

Neil Lennon has named his starting XI to face Rangers this afternoon.

The Hoops boss has made several changes to his side for derby day as Odsonne Edouard misses out after his recent coronavirus scare.

Celtic are without several key players after a series of positive tests during the international break.

Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed are ruled out after testing positive on international duty with Israel.

Ryan Christie is also unavailable despite a late push to have his period of isolation cut short after Kieran Tierney was cleared to play for Arsenal this weekend.

Edouard completed a ten-day quarantine after coming down with the virus with the France U21s. The striker has arrived back in Glasgow yesterday but has not made the squad.

But Lennon has stuck with his preferred 3-5-2 formation as he gives a debut to Diego Laxalt and surprise starts for Stephen Welsh, who comes in for Christopher Jullien, and Patryk Klimala.

Celtic XI: Barkas, Welsh, Ajer, Duffy, Laxalt, Frimpong, McGregor, Brown, Ntcham, Elyounoussi, Klimala.

Bench: Bain, Rogic, Taylor, Turnbull, Griffiths, Soro, Ajeti, Henderson, Ralston.
