Celtic line-up predicted vs St Mirren as Odsonne Edouard shakes off injury fears

Odsonne Edouard limped off in the second half against Hamilton clutching the back of his leg as Celtic feared his stop, start season was going to suffer another setback.

But it seems it was just precautionary and the Frenchman is expected to resume his position up top alongside Leigh Griffiths against St Mirren on Saturday afternoon.

It gives Celtic a huge boost as the striker showed signs he was primed to have a strong second half of the season.

Edouard was back among the goals with his partner in crime Griffiths as the Parkhead side ran out 2-0 winners and Neil Lennon will look to deploy his star pair once again as the Buddies visit Celtic Park.

In fact, there are no fresh injury concerns for Lennon so there isn't likely to be too many changes to his side.

Scott Bain will keep his place in goals as Vasilis Barkas was dropped midweek with a back four of Greg Taylor, Shane Duffy, Nir Bitton and Kris Ajer.

Lennon will deploy a diamond midfield of Ismaila Soro, Callum McGregor, David Turnbull and Mohamed Elyounoussi with Edouard and Griffiths leading the line.

Celtic predicted XI vs St Mirren: Bain, Ajer, Taylor, Button Duffy, Soro, McGregor, Turnbull, Elyounoussi, Griffiths, Edouard.
