Celtic line-up predicted vs Aberdeen as Odsonne Edouard pushes for start

Neil Lennon has a decision to make with Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard for this afternoon's Scottish Cup semi-final with Aberdeen.

The French striker climbed off the bench for half an hour in the midweek draw with Lille after returning to full fitness after his quarantine period.

It remains to be seen if that was enough to convince the Parkhead boss to start him against the Dons, with Albian Ajeti impressing against the French side.

It could also depend if Lennon sticks with one striker or goes two up top at Hampden.

For the most part, Lennon won't be making too many changes to build on the momentum from midweek, despite losing a two goal lead.

And that's why he should stick with the 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation.

Vasilis Barkas is back in cotention, but Scott Bain should keep his place in goals after his heroics against Lille.

Kris Ajer has been ruled out so he'll likely be replaced by Nir Bitton in the centre of defence, alongside Shane Duffy, with Jeremie Frimpong and Diego Laxalt in the full-back positions.

Scott Brown and Callum McGregor should be the midfield partnership, but Tom Rogic deserves the nod over Olvier Ntcham, with Ryan Christie and Mohamed Elyounoussi on the flanks.

It's certainly a tough decision between Edouard and Ajeti up top, but the Swiss striker deserves to retain his starting spot after putting in a brilliant shift for Celtic against Lille.

Predicted Celtic XI: Bain, Frimpong, Bitton, Duffy, Laxalt, Brown, McGregor, Rogic, Christie, Elyounoussi, Ajeti.
