Arsenal are getting a "fine player" in Kieran Tierney.
That's according to Celtic legend and ex-Gunners striker John Hartson.
Football.london reported earlier in the day that the north London outfit were expected to make a third and final bid for the Scotland international before transfer window closes on Thursday.
Then came rumours that would have got many Arsenal fans excited.
As revealed by the Scottish Sun, Tierney was spotted with his agent, Allan Preston, at Edinburgh Airport for a flight to London.
Furthermore, the same publication and Sky Sports News have revealed that Arsenal have finally agreed a fee with the Hoops and the Scotland international is on his way to the capital for a medical.
Football.london can confirm the rumours are true.
Tierney will have his medical at London Colney before completing his move his £25m move and his signing is expected to be confirmed by the Gunners before 5pm on Thursday.
The defender is expected to sign a five-year contract and challenge Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac for the left-back spot under Unai Emery this season.
For any Arsenal fan not sure about what they'll be getting from Tierney, Hartson has brought them right up to speed with a classy description of the Scotland international.
"Arsenal are getting a fine player, a wonderfully grounded boy, been brought up in humble surroundings, I can only wish Kieran Tierney a great career," Hartson tweeted.
"Been brilliant for Celtic. Good luck mate."
Celtic head coach Neil Lennon also commented on Tierney's imminent departure.
"These things naturally tend to take their course,"he told reporters. "I’ve not had any confirmation of it.
"If that is the case, he goes with everyone’s best wishes.
"He’s a great player and he’s been brilliant for the club."
