- Celtic legend Scott Brown has left Scottish Championship club Ayr United by “mutual consent”.
- Brown, 40, who won 10 league titles as a player with Celtic, and also earned 55 caps for Scotland, was appointed Ayr manager in January 2024.
- He has now left the club following a run of nine games without a win in all competitions.
- Ayr were beaten 3-0 by Raith Rovers on Friday night and are now eighth in the Scottish Championship table.
- Ayr confirmed that Jamie Murphy, Tommy Tait and Dave Timmins would take training on Monday, while adding that there would be further communication over an interim position “in due course”.
