Celtic join appeal for Billy McNeill's grandson Matthew McCombe still missing in Amsterdam

Celtic have joined the appeal to find Billy McNeill's grandson Matthew McCombe who is currently missing in Amsterdam.

The 21-year-old was last seen on Saturday, March 14 in the vicinity of Amstel train station between 6.40am and 7.30am.

He has short dark blonde hair, of slim build and was wearing a light blue Stone Island jumper, blue jeans and blue shoes when he went missing.

And the Parkhead club has now joined in on the efforts to try and locate Matthew, grandson of Celtic great McNeill, who passed away last year.

They tweeted: "Celtic Great, Billy McNeill's Grandson, Matthew McCombe, 21, is currently missing in Amsterdam. He has short dark blonde hair and a slim build. Have you seen Matthew? Please share this, it may reach someone who has.

"He was last seen on the 14th March between 6:40am and 7:30am in the vicinity of the Amstel train station, and was wearing a light blue stone island jumper, blue jeans and blue shoes."

Celtic and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish also urged anyone that might know his whereabouts to come forward.

He said: "Celtic legend Billy McNeill’s 21 year old grandson, Matthew, went missing on Saturday in Amsterdam. If anyone is able to help his family to find him, it would be very much appreciated by all. The McNeill family has been close to Marina and I for many many years."
