Celtic reportedly hold an interest in former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Rodriguez but face heavy competition for his signature.

Celtic are one of them, along with Premier League side Bournemouth as well as Bologna, Ajax and Feyenoord.

TuttoMercatoWeb journalist Pietro Celeste wrote on X: "Bologna is evaluating Alvaro Rodriguez, a left-footed striker born in 2004. In the last season, he was a standout with Elche with 7 goals and 5 assists (193 centimeters). Competition from Celtic, Bournemouth, Ajax and Feyenoord."
The Uruguayan under-20 international, who is Spanish born, had a loan spell at Getafe prior to his permanent exit from Madrid, scoring three goals.
He previously found the net fairly regularly for Real Madrid Castilla in the Spanish lower leagues and managed a handful of appearances in the first team.
