Celtic injury latest on Christopher Jullien and Moritz Bauer as Neil Lennon hails 'outstanding' win

Neil Lennon hailed "outstanding" Celtic after his side came from behind to overpower Kilmarnock at Parkhead.

The Hoops boss also quelled injury fears over Christopher Jullien and Moritz Bauer after the defensive pair limped off late in the match.

An Odsonne Edouard double and Ryan Christie's 10th goal of the season overturned Eamonn Brophy's first-half opener, maintaining the Premiership leaders' 100 per cent start to the domestic campaign.

Although the sides went in level at the break, Lennon insists the 1-1 scoreline flattered the visitors - who also had a late Alan Power penalty saved.

He said: "It was a superb performance. Some of the play 15/20 minutes after half-time was outstanding. It was a great performance against a team who don't concede much.

"I felt the scoreline flattered Kilmarnock at the break. It was a great goal from Brophy, with bit of luck but before that we worked the goalkeeper on a number of occasions and thoroughly merited the equaliser when it came.

"I’m getting everything from this team that I want at the minute. This came off the back of a really good performance on Thursday.

"We’ve cemented our league form with a brilliant display today."

Lennon was force to shuffle his backline in the closing stages, first through Baeur taking a knock and then Jullien pulling up.

But the Celtic boss does not expect any lasting repercussions for either player.

He added: "Moritz’s injury was trauma. He got a bang and twisted his ankle.

" Christopher Jullien felt it a little bit on his hamstring but we think he’ll be fine."
