Celtic in transfer focus shift as Josip Juranovic '50/50' on Legia Warsaw stay

Legia Warsaw appear to have got cold feet over selling Josip Juranovic to Celtic, leading the Parkhead side to assess other options.

Ange Postecoglou is on the lookout for a new right-back with Anthony Ralston his only option at present.

A number of names have been linked but they have fallen by the wayside one by one, with Aurelio Buta now linked with a move to Everton in the English Premier League.

Juranovic, who played for Croatia at Euro 2020, appeared to be the alternative. But it's now being claimed by Polish outlet Sport that Legia are second-guessing themselves and may decide to keep him.

That has in turn given Celtic cause to look elsewhere and it would appear to be Manchester City teenager Yan Couto who is the favourite now.

The 19-year-old attended their thrashing of Jablonec at Parkhead on Thursday and he is known to Postecoglou from his work within the City football group.

City boss Pep Guardiola is also known to be a fan of the Australian's expansive style of football so a move to Celtic could be seen as good for his development - especially if they qualify for the Europa League.
