Celtic are in a race against time to sign Kelechi Iheanacho amid a key UEFA deadline.
The Parkhead club were widely linked with a move for the striker late on the final day of the summer transfer window.
Iheanacho was then released by his club, Sevilla, shortly before the close of business.

This means that he can now be signed as a free agent, although Celtic will likely want to secure his services before the end of today.

That is because the deadline for the club to submit their 25-man squad for the league phase of the Europa League is TONIGHT at 11pm.
If Iheanacho isn't signed before then, he won't be able to be registered in time to feature for his potential new team in European competition.
Now 28 years of age, Iheanacho worked with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.
He scored 61 goals in 232 appearances for the club after signing from Manchester City in a deal reported to be in the region of €27million in 2017.
A move to Sevilla followed last summer, and now, after an unsuccessful six-month loan at Middlesbrough at the beginning of the year, Iheanacho, capped 58 times by Nigeria, could be on his way to Glasgow.
He would replace Adam Idah, who completed a £7m move to Swansea City on transfer deadline day.
