The 22-year-old is viewed as one of his country's top defensive prospects and is a versatile option, able to play at left-back or centre-back in Postecoglou's favoured system.
He can also play as a wing-back if the Australian ever opts to experiment with a back five.
It's reported by the Irish Examiner that Celtic will pay a "significant six figure fee" to land the youngster, who has impressed in his 45 appearances for Shamrock's senior team.
