Celtic in fresh Lyle Taylor transfer link as Neil Lennon confirms talks with multiple strikers

Celtic are reportedly in talks with former Charlton star Lyle Taylor and multiple other strikers.

The Hoops and Rangers were tracking the Englishman at the start of the summer as various clubs were said to be chasing the free agent's signature.

And Sky Sports claim Celtic have now reiginited their interest in Taylor and are in talks with him over a deal.

Lennon confirmed the club were looking at a 'few strikers' - one of those being Steven Fletcher, who was linked with a move to Parkhead on Wedesnday night.

He told Sky: "We're in talks with his [Fletcher] representatives but nothing's confirmed one way or another.

"We're linked with a few [strikers] so it's obviously an area we want to add in.

"We're spinning a few plates so if we can get a quality one in it'll help us.

"We've got good strikers in the building already but it'd be really good to add another one, just for squad depth and competition."

Celtic are keen on adding attacking reinforcements during the transfer window.

West Ham striker Albian Ajeti is currently weighing up an offer from the Hoops after the clubs agreed a season-long loan, with an option to buy next summer.

Celtic are also looking at Ivan Toney, but Peterborough's asking price could be too steep after an initial £5million offer was knocked back by the League One club.
