Celtic have been linked with an unlikely move for towering Hearts striker Uche Ikpeazu .
Transfer season often conjures up some weird and wonderful rumours but the Hoops making a bid for the Jambos battering ram when the window opens in January appears unlikely.
Ikpeazu has his merits but the 24-year-old, who has scored two goals in 11 appearances, heading down the M8 would be a stunner despite Celtic 's limited options in attack at the moment.
And supporters don't think much of the link with star man Odsonne Edouard leading the way with Vakoun Bayo in reserve and Leigh Griffiths making his way back to fitness. Midfielder Ryan Christie also has 10 goals on the season.
West London Sport claim QPR, managed by former Rangers boss Mark Warburton, are monitoring the former Cambridge striker and state Neil Lennon 's side are also keeping close tabs on Ikpeazu.
As football rumours go it's a good one, we'll give them that, but the chances a bid from Parkhead materialising are slim to none.
And that's not to decry Ikpeazu - the forward has something about him but his rather simplistic style of play is unlikely to get Celtic fans off their seat.
A move to the Championship appears more likely but he won't come cheap with two-and-a-half years remaining on his Hearts deal.
