Celtic icon Henrik Larsson quits Helsingborgs again over 'verbal insults' just two months after return

Celtic icon Henrik Larsson's return to Helsingborgs is over after just two months as he quit the club for a second time.

The Swedish club have confirmed the Hoops legend has left his post as boss over the alleged level of "verbal insults" to which he'd been subjected.

He returned to the role in June but it has again ended badly for 47-year-old.

Larsson and his son Jordan were involved in an on-pitch altercation with fans as his first spell in charge concluded with the club suffering relegation.

And now, just eight games into his return, the Hoops legend has resigned.

He said: "c

"Everyone who works in Helsingborgs IF always does the best for the club. The assignment Henrik was given was to keep the team in the Allsvenskan.

"When he took over the team sat in the negative qualifying spot and right now we are in 12th place and two points above the negative qualifying place.

"Based on where we stand now, he has completed the assignment."

Larsson began and ended his playing career with Helsingborgs, either side of spells with Feyenoord, Celtic , Manchester United and Barcelona .
