Celtic hold heartwarming supporters event as new boy Patryk Klimala meets fans

Patryk Klimala, Callum McGregor and Boli Bolingoli were amongst the first team Celtic players holding a meet and greet with special supporters today.

Children and adults battling life-threatening illnesses, those living with long-term health conditions and fans who can't attend matches due to mental or physical barriers, were amongst those in attendance.

Celtic put on the event in association with the Celtic FC Foundation and external charities like Calum’s Cabin and Cash for Kids.

Fans got the opportunity to pose with last season's treble trophy haul while Hoopy and Hailey the Huddle Hounds were also on hand for selfies at Celtic Park .

McGregor was delighted to be given the chance to add a little sunshine to the lives of those who face challenging cicumstances.

He said: “As a team, we are very grateful for the incredible support we receive from our fans, our recent successes have been a real team effort, both on and off the pitch.

“Events like today, give players the opportunity to spend time meeting some very special supporters who are facing a difficult time and their own challenges.

“It is a privilege for us to meet these fans and hopefully help raise their spirits and in some way bring a smile to their faces.”
