Celtic have been fined €15,000 by UEFA after an anti-monarchy banner was displayed during their Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetstk.
The Monarch's passing last month led to an entire round of SPFL fixtures being postponed. It was announced during Hearts ' Europa Conference League game with Basaksehir and Celtic 's first game back was against Shakhtar in Poland.
Ange Postecoglou's team battled to a 1-1 draw with Mykhaylo Mudryk cancelling out Artem Bondarenko's own goal but the football itself was overshadowed by a banner in the away end referencing Michael Fagan, who intruded the Queen's bedroom in 1982. And UEFA have now taken action, hitting them with a £15,000 fine for displaying a "message not fit for a sports event."
