Celtic hero Paul Lambert's dog gatecrashes live interview as Kris Boyd buckles at uninvited pundit

It's the beauty of live TV that quite literally anything can happen.

Celtic legend Paul Lambert can now attest to that after a live interview on Sky Sports was gatecrashed by none other than his pet dog.

The former Scotland international joined the broadcast from his back garden to discuss the announcement of Steve Clarke's Euro 2020 squad.

Lambert was among the last group of Scotland stars to reach a major tournament all the way back in 1998.

So if there's anyone with an opinion worth hearing on Wednesday's big reveal, it's probably his.

It's just a shame the dog didn't feel the same way.

Lambert manfully attempted to plough on through questioning even as his four-legged friend barked louder and louder with every passing moment.

The unexpected interruption from an uninvited third pundit was clearly amusing Kris Boyd, who had the luxury of speaking directly from the Sky studio.

As Lambert struggled to contain his laughter, former Rangers striker Boyd asked: "We've seen some animals before who predict the outcome (of major tournaments), is that the dog trying to tell us Scotland will qualify out the group stage?"

Lambert could only shake his head and reply: "Honestly he's incredible this dog."
