Celtic hero Bertie Auld to be given emotional send-off by supporters

Lisbon Lion Bertie Auld will make an emotional final visit to Celtic Park as his funeral cortege passes the Glasgow stadium next Friday.

Auld, from Strathaven, sadly passed away last Sunday, aged 83, following a brief battle with dementia.

The Celtic legend's funeral will take place on Friday, November 26, with the cortege passing Celtic Park so that supporters can say a final goodbye to Auld.

Former Hamilton Accies boss Auld's church service will be at St Mary of the Assumption, Abercromnby Street, Calton, Glasgow, at midday.

Following the service, the funeral cortege will pass by Celtic Park and down The Celtic Way at around 1.30pm.
