Celtic head to England for pre-season camp as club step up 10 In A Row preparations

Celtic have begun a training camp in Leicestershire as they ramp up their 10 In A Row preparations.

Neil Lennon 's men have chosen Loughborough University as a surprise destination for their camp.

The campus is renowned for their training and sports science facilities.

Many members of Team GB had been using the complex in preparation for the now postponed Tokyo Olympics that were due to be held this summer.

Boxer Dillian Whyte also trains at Loughborough in preparation for big fights.

However, the complex suffered a scare in March when a Scotland international women's rugby player who trains and also studies at the university was diagnosed with coronavirus.

And Loughborough is only around 25 minutes by car from the locked-down city of Leicester.

Celtic won't be at the complex for long though, as they jet off to France for friendlies against Lyon and Nice next week before travelling north to face champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Rivals Rangers are also set to link up for the tournament in Lyon but the two Glasgow sides won't face each other and fans of either Scottish club won't be permitted.
