Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard's Twitter account hacked

Celtic goalkeeper Conor Hazard's Twitter account has been hacked by a troll who then uploaded a number of Rangers related posts.

The 23-year-old Northern Ireland international's profile on Wednesday morning was full of Light Blues content.

One of the posts included a picture of Rangers captain James Tavernier holding the Scottish Premiership trophy and was captioned: "morning guys".

Another post, which was then pinned to the top of Hazard's feed, read: "Joe Aribo is the best footballer this planet has ever seen."

The troll also changed the cover picture to one of the fan riots in George Square in May 2020 and the profile image to Paul Gascoigne during his time at Ibrox.

The account was previously inactive since 2017 before Wednesday's hack took over the profile. As of 10.20am, the profile still had not been switched back, reports the Daily Record.

Northern Ireland keeper Hazard recently signed a new deal with Celtic, which will keep him at the Hoops until 2023.

He has been capped once for Northern Ireland this season, when he came off the bench in a friendly win over Estonia.

The Daily Record said that Celtic Football club have been contacted for comment.
