Celtic given transfer encouragement amid 'dropped price'

Celtic could be tempted into striking a bargain with cash-strapped Le Havre, with the French club admitting they're 'losing money'.

Jean-Michel Roussier, the club's president, admits their asking price for Etienne Youte could drop. 

It comes amid reported interest from the Scottish Premiership champions in the 23-year-old. 

The centre-back, who has just one year left on his current deal, is believed to be on the market for around €5m (£4.3m) this summer. 

However, it would seem that Le Havre may consider dropping that price in their bid to raise funds.

"We're used to it," he told  Paris Normadie. "We have to sell a lower cost, with free agents something we cannot risk.

"We are a company that is losing money."

It's said that the Hoops are in the race to sign Youte alongside Anderlecht and Besiktas.
