Celtic give first glimpse of Scottish Cup Final kit honouring Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers

Celtic have given supporters a first glimpse of the one-off kit they will wear in honour of Lisbon Lions heroes Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers in Saturday's Scottish Cup Final.

The Hoops got the green light to alter their strip and tracksuits to pay tribute to the two icons both of whom passed away in the last month.

The Hampden final against Hearts falls on the 52nd anniversary of the club's greatest ever moment when they lifted the European Cup in Lisbon.

McNeill captained the side to a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan while Chalmers scored what proved to be the winning goal.

Sadly both lost their separate battles with dementia in April. Celtic Park held a poignant tribute to both players as their funeral corteges passed the ground where they made their name.

Now Celtic are to remember McNeill and Chalmers at Hampden.

Neil Lennon's players will wear the number 5 - McNeill's number - on the front of their shorts and 9 - that of Chalmers - on the back while a special tracksuit will carry both players' names.

Celtic have been busy preparing the kit ahead of the showpiece final.

And they released a short clip giving fans a sneak peak at what to expect on Friday afternoon.
