Celtic friendly with PSG set to take place in front of fans as French superstars look for cup final blueprint

The friendly match set to take place between Paris Saint-Germain and Celtic later this month will be played to a crowd at the Parc des Princes.

A total of 5,000 fans will be allowed into the 48,000 seater stadium, the same ground that the Parkhead club were trounced 7-1 in during a Champions League group stage game three years ago.

The fixture is pencilled in for July 21 but Celtic are still waiting for confirmation from the Scottish Government to be allowed to travel to France before they then play Lyon and Nice in their pre-season tournament.

And PSG are set to allow a limited amount of supporters into their ground for their friendlies against Celtic and against Shamrock Rovers four days earlier.

The 5,000 fans limit has been set because PSG will play two finals later this month with both having the same amount of fans in a stadium.

PSG face St Etienne in the French Cup Final and then play the League Cup Final against Lyon later in the month, with both games at the Stade de France.

And they want a rehearsal for playing with that number of fans by allowing the same number to see them take on Neil Lennon 's side, although they will ensure only their own supporters are allowed into the stadium.

Lyon announced this week they would allow 4,500 fans into their Groupama Stadium for their warm-ups against Celtic and Rangers.
