Celtic fired 'new Davor Suker' boast as Ferencvaros chief ups the Champions League ante again

Celtic will face the new Davor Suker when Ferencvaros arrive in Glasgow.

That's according to the club's sporting director Tama Hajnal as he gave top billing to new Croatian striker Roko Baturina.

Neil Lennon 's team welcome Hungarian champions to an empty Parkhead for a second round Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.

Budapest side Ferencvaros enjoyed extra time to prepare for the clash after the Hungarian FA postponed their weekend league match to make them fresher for their trip to Glasgow.

And club chief Hajnal, has warned Celtic that Baturina has modelled his game on former Real Madrid and Arsenal legend Suker.

He said: "I would compare Roko to Davor Suker because he really is an eye-catching striker.

"Of course, he is only 20 and still needs a lot of time to prove his talent, but he is extremely promising.

"He is a typical target man who also plays well with his back to the goal.

"He has just exploded onto the scene, having had a great season in Slovenia before signing for us. I believe Roko will be a huge player for us."
