Celtic fans troll Steven Gerrard with banner at Livingston clash

Celtic fans have mocked Steven Gerrard with a banner at the Livingston clash on Saturday.

The message read, "Get well soon Stevie G" as they trolled the Rangers manager following the fallout from last week’s clash.

It’s a reference to the banner Rangers supporters unveiled ridiculing Steve Clarke after the Kilmarnock manager slammed the sectarian abuse to which he was subjected.

Gerrard accused Celtic for playing the "victim card" after the champions hit out at the treatment of Scott Brown.

The Hoops captain was elbowed by Alfredo Morelos and struck by Ryan Kent before celebrating in front of the away fans at Celtic Park.

He was later cited by the SFA for "not acting in the best interest of Scottish football", a charge that has been slammed by Neil Lennon and one which will be "vigorously" fought by his club.

Gerrard was also subjected to a sectarian slur during the derby, with the chant "sad Orange b*****d" directed at him.
