Celtic fans plan Scottish Cup welcome as Neil Lennon's side go in search of quadruple Treble glory

Celtic fans are planning a rapturous welcome for their team at Hampden for Sunday's Scottish Cup final.

Despite a shaky run of form Neil Lennon 's side can secure a historic quadruple treble when they take on Hearts in the delayed conclusion to last season's competition.

Recent weeks have seen demonstrations by supporters outside of Celtic Park calling for both the manager and board to go.

As they seek to maintain their domestic dominance though the message will be altogether more positive.

The Green Brigade are calling on fans to welcome the team to Hampden on Sunday from the Aikenhead Road entrance at midday.

It remains to be seen how the proposed gathering is viewed by law enforcement, however.

Glasgow is under tier 3 coronavirus restrictions which mean only two households are allowed to meet outdoors.

Sunday's Kilmarnock game saw fans protest with social distancing measures in place but those were not stringently observed.

This will be the second season in a row that Hearts and Celtic have met in the Scottish Cup final.

The 2018-19 edition saw Craig Levein's side take the lead at Hampden before Odsonne Edouard's double secured a third successive domestic treble.
