Celtic fans mock up Peter Lawwell as Donald Trump with cutting 'build a fence' banner

Protesting Celtic fans have mocked up chief executive Peter Lawwell as Donald Trump.

Hundreds of supporters descended on Parkhead ahead of their side's Premiership clash with Kilmarnock to voice their fury at how the club is being run.

Celtic 's quest for Ten In A Row hangs by a thread and punters have rounded on the club's hierarchy in recent weeks.

Lawwell and majority shareholder Dermot Desmond have been in fans' cross hairs but it was the former who was cast as the outgoing US President on Sunday.

The banner was a twist on Trump 's infamous "build a wall" slogan.

Instead, the jibe was "build a fence", in reference to the club erecting barriers around Celtic Park to keep protesting fans at a distance.

With the bulk of supporter anger aimed at club bosses, there were also messages of support for Neil Lennon 's struggling team.

They take on Killie this afternoon in a bid to secure a first home victory since September.

Crowds warmly greeted the team bus as it arrived for the crucial Premiership encounter.

Lennon's team are currently 16 points adrift of league leaders Rangers, albeit having played three games fewer than their Glasgow rivals.
