Jack Hendry has agreed a season-long loan with Belgian side Oostende.
The Celtic centre-half has struggled to force his way into Neil Lennon's side since his arrival from Dundee in 2018.
He had a brief spell at Aussie side Melbourne City in January before he suffered a knee injury that ended his season.
And Hendry will now give the Belgian top flight a go as he tries to revive his Parkhead career.
Celtic fans reacted to the news, but some were gutted the club didn't announce a new arrival instead, with the transfer window officially opened in Scotland.
@Keern_ said: "Keep the announcements coming Celtic."
@LeBinklet_ added: "Now we make some signings?"
@StaceyDevlinxxx tweeted: "Noo wanty sign someone."

The majority of Hoops supporters wished Hendry well after sealing the move.
@CammyStewart67 said "Nowhere near as bad as people make out. Was a project rushed into first team football due to injuries. Best of luck Jack."
@James6Stevenson added: "Actually wanting him to do well unlike some Celtic fans."
@eddiedoch tweeted: "All the best, Jack. I hope it goes well for you in Belgium."
