Celtic fans make decisive striker call as ultimate team of 21st century is revealed

It's almost an impossible task to pick out the best eleven Celtic players from the 21st century so far, but fans have made the tough call.

There's been so many great players that have starred for Hoops since 2001 with a lot of silverware to go along with it.

From the Martin O'Neill era with legends such as Henrik Larsson and Paul Lambert to the more recent Brendan Rodgers 'Invincibles' side that kick-started the Treble Treble run.

The likes of Virgil van Dijk has also graced the Parkhead turf in between.

Either way, to whittle it down to the one starting XI is difficult.

We gave supporters a pool of 29 players to choose from and using our squad selector, they could choose their best line-up.

Celtic have had a wealth of brilliant strikers over the years so narrowing down that area, in particular, was always going to be a headache.

Larsson and Chris Sutton formed one of the best partnerships that Scotland has ever seen so as expected they were an automatic choice from fans.

The Hoops faithful could have added a third striker in either John Hartson, Moussa Dembele or Odsonne Edouard, but they didn't want to disrupt that formidable duo.

Here are the full results.

Keeper: Fraser Forster

Defenders: Jackie McNamara, Virgil van Dijk, Johan Mjallby, Kieran Tierney.

Midfielders: Scott Brown, Paul Lambert, Lubo Moravcik, Stan Petrov.

Strikers: Henrik Larsson, Chris Sutton.

Formation: 4-4-2.
