Celtic fans loved Liam Scales' reaction to League Cup win

Liam Scales celebrated winning his first trophy as a Celtic player on Sunday as the Hoops defeated Hibernian to lift the Premier Sports Cup at Hampden Park.

The defender joined the Glasgow club from Shamrock Rovers in August and made his league debut for Ange Postecoglou's side earlier this month, scoring after coming off the bench against Dundee United.

He started his first league game for Celtic in their 2-1 win over Ross County last Wednesday and came off the bench to replace Mikey Johnston in Sunday's win over Hibs.

And Celtic fans loved what the Wicklow man did after the game as he grabbed an Irish flag from the crowd before wrapping it around himself as he celebrated on the pitch.

Scales was also seen belting out the words of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' as the Hoops won their first trophy under Postecoglou.

One fan said: "Liam Scales proudly holding the Tri-Colour after winning the Scottish League Cup with Celtic. What a man."

Another commented: "Absolutely love Liam Scales belting out you'll never walk alone btw right inty that."

Someone else posted: "Great to see an Irish man involved in a winning Celtic team. Congrats Liam Scales."

One other post read: "Great to see Liam Scales win his first medal as a Celtic player. Doing really well. Won't be long until he's in an Ireland shirt."
