It was the usual mixed bag on the Hotline, with nobody very happy about very much and shots being fired across the Old Firm divide. So what's new?
George Walkingshaw, Glenrothes, got the ball rolling with: "While Peter Lawwell and the rest of the Celtic board were taking all the credit for the last nine years, where has the forward planning been? How can you go from the dominant force in Scottish football to an also ran? Where is the five year or 10 year plan, is this why Brendan Rodgers left? All the gloating about Rangers has come back to haunt them."
George Wilson, West Sussex emailed: "I used to get annoyed at the anti-Rangers drivel we have to put up regularly from Gordon Ashley but now I just laugh at him as he is so pathetic he feels the need to criticise Rangers nearly every day while mostly ignoring his own team, Celtic.
"His latest nonsense is that Celtic are about to spend all the millions they have in the bank while Rangers only deal in free transfers and loans.
"Would these be some of the same free transfers and loans that won the league by 25 points last year and totally obliterated Celtic's 10 In A Row chances? We're now 10 days before the Champions League and Celtic have signed one unknown player and don't even have a team in place while Rangers were ready to go as soon as the last ball was kicked last season.
"He's criticising Rangers signings who he has probably never watched because Celtic have barely made any."
But Gerard Kelly hit back, saying: "Hugh Keevins mentioned that Celtic are 'Raiders of the Lost Spark', has he forgotten to take his medication? So far we have won two out of two with five goals being scored by younger talent as well.
"Rangers so far have played two, won one and by the reports they weren't that great on both games. Yes, Ange might not be a big manager but I do hope he proves you all wrong."
Andrew Lamb, Fraserburgh , emailed: "Most Celtic fans must have thought they’d woken up on April 1 when they heard the news that the 'dynamic' duo of John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan were to be kept on. Ange Postecoglou is already looking out of his depth."
Jim Taylor emailed: "Teams playing in Europe are excused the group stage of the League Cup but on the dates of three of the four games, Rangers have arranged high profile friendlies – making a mockery of the domestic cup. And the same goes for Celtic too."
John Scott, Grassmoor, said: "I find myself in full agreement with Rangers looking for a minimum of €15m for a young player, Alfredo Morelos, who has proved his worth on the European stage.
"I am expecting Hibs to push for top dollar for our young stars too. These players aren't being bought to make up the numbers in reserve or development teams. Clubs with comparatively massive budgets are looking for talent that can step into their first team.
"If Kevin Nisbet plays out his remaining three contracted years then leaves for nothing then fair enough. Until then, he's worth every penny of Hibs' valuation. Scottish clubs are not selling to webuyanyplayer.com. Not anymore."
Ronnie Swan, Lochee, said: "So the Tam Courts era has begun and what a pitiful performance that was vs Kelty - just a continuation from last season. I'm afraid Tam is way out his depth - just listen to his interviews. It's as if Mr Ashgar is holding up a card for him to read."
But Alan Lough, Dunbar, was a happy man. He said: "The argument finally gets put to bed that Messi has never won a trophy with Argentina as he lifted the Copa America – and also top scorer and player of the tournament. The ultimate team player."
