Celtic fans in Europa League TV boost as Premier Sports announce live coverage of Alkmaar clash

Celtic fans have been given a boost after Premier Sports announced live coverage of their Europa League play-off second leg against AZ Alkmaar.

Ange Postecoglou’s men take on the Dutch outfit for a place in the group stage of UEFA’s second tier competition.

The first leg is close to being a complete sell-out at Parkhead with the club announcing only a limited amount of tickets remain.

And the fans will be hoping they can get a positive result to take across the North Sea next week.

Premier Sports showed Celtic in Champions League action when they lost to Midtjylland with the broadcaster screening both legs.

And now they have confirmed coverage of the second clash against the Eredivisie side with the programme starting at 6.45pm.

The Dutch side kicked off their league campaign with a surprise defeat while Celtic have found their rhythm under new boss Postecoglou.

Supporters are still awaiting news on where Wednesday's home leg will be shown, with the club's in-house television channel currently offering only audio coverage.
