Celtic fans were left fuming at majority shareholder Dermot Desmond after the club's latest Champions League disappointment, while the billionaire attended the Galway Races.
The Hoops were beaten 2-1 by Danish side Midtjylland (3-2 on aggregate) on Wednesday in the second qualifying round, signalling another disappointing exit from the competition for the Scottish club.
It comes as the Irish businessman announced he is taking a hands-on approach in helping Ange Postecoglou to rebuild his Celtic squad.
The billionaire came in for major criticism from some elements of the Celtic support for not being hands-on last season as the Hoops blew the chance to make it 10-in-a-row.
This season, Celtic have brought in Liel Abada, Carl Starfelt, Kyogo Furuhashi and Osaze Urhoghide, but key man Kristoffer Ajer has been sold to Brentford in a big-money deal.
And as Celtic crashed out of the Champions League on Wednesday night, Desmond was pictured in Ballybrit alongside Limerick billionaire JP McManus at the Galway Races.
Hoops fans were fuming at the Champions League exit, with many taking to Twitter to air their grievances and express their disappointment at Desmond's leadership.
One fan said: "Dermot Desmond in the headlines being "hands on with transfers", it's time he put his money where is mouth is and backed the manager".
Another added: "Apparently Dermot Desmond has taken over negotiations to bring in some marquee signings, a year too late some Celtic fans might be thinking."
"At least Dermot Desmond is handling the transfers but, eh?," one fan joked.
"Every single thing points to Dermot Desmond being far too heavily involved in the day-to-day running of football operations at Celtic," one concluded.
