Celtic fans dealt Ferencvaros away ticket blow and face uncertainty for Bayer Leverkusen clash

Celtic fans will not receive any tickets for the club's upcoming Europa League clash with Ferencvaros.

Ange Postecoglou 's side face off against the Hungarians on Thursday, November 4 but won't be backed by any of their own supporters inside the Groupama Arena.

Celtic 's supporter liaison officer John-Paul Taylor last week hinted the match would be a lockout for visitors and it's now been confirmed UK vaccination certificates will not be accepted at the Budapest venue next month.

The Parkhead club now await details on whether supporters will be allowed in to a later away day against Bayer Leverkusen.

A Celtic statement said: "Celtic Football Club has been informed by Ferencvarosi TC that, due to local rules in Hungary, UK vaccination certificates are not valid for accessing the away match on November 4, 2021.

"In order to provide our supporters with clarity it is important, therefore, that we confirm now that, unfortunately, there will be no match tickets available to Celtic supporters.

"The club are currently awaiting relevant information in relation to the match in Germany against Bayer Leverkusen (November 25) regarding permitted certificates and we will update supporters as soon as possible. Clearly, at this stage we would continue to advise supporters not to arrange any travel."
