Celtic fans all say the same thing after Neil Lennon questions who's driving calls for him to be sacked

Neil Lennon didn't hold back at his press conference as he fired back at his critics - whether that was the media, former players or even his own fans.

The Celtic boss is under severe scrutiny with his side in the midst of a three-game win-less streak.

Supporters have started to question whether the Northern Irishman is the man to lead the Parkhead club to Ten in a Row this season.

Lennon feels the majority of the Hoops faithful are behind him, however, and claims it's the media who is driving calls for him to be sacked.

He also took aim at Kris Commons for his comments about Shane Duffy as the pundit called the defender "rank rotten" after his most recent blunder against Aberdeen.

He said: "I’ve seen two newspapers run polls on whether I should be sacked or not. Never seen it before in 20 years I’ve been up here. Who’s driving that? It’s not the Celtic fans.”

“People can put out in the media what they want but they need to behave themselves, need to start acting professional and they need to stop digging out players when they’ve been players themselves and didn’t have a great time the whole way through their time here either.”

But Celtic fans were quick to point out that it's indeed themselves who are leading the charge to get a new manager through the Parkhead door.

@_CalMc said: "It absolutely is, Neil."

@harbie90 added: "I’m afraid quite a few Celtic fans I know, including myself.....alot do actually want you sacked. Don’t delude yourself that you are untouchable, NL."

@marcmcardle1 tweeted: "I understand why NL's saying this, but it's not accurate."

@Dogo2k said: "It's a lot of Celtic fans unfortunately. Didn't like NL to start, and on his back at every single little stumble. It's been a tough start, but we'll get there."

@cdmurphy1980 tweeted: "Yes it is."

@claire_mcharg added: "Aye it is Neil. Bolt."
